Metal Casting: ZCorps
ZCast Direct Metal Casting process allows engineers
to pour metal directly into a mold printed on a ZCorp 3D Printer,
eliminating the need for a pattern. The moulds are capable
of withstanding up to 800 degrees C, so the application is
currently for non ferrous materials.
Investment
Casting: The process is to create a wax patterm by printing
off the part on the ZCorp 3D Printer is the zp14 or zp15e
cellulose based material. The part is then infiltrated with
wax. The part can then be used in the traditional wax casting
process, except the celluloe powder creates an ash which needs
to be blown out.
